Feathers are always something that to me have represented nature into the world of style. Whether they are worn in hair, as a necklace, or even on shoes they add a bohemian feel. Feathers were tied in hair in the true bohemian days, think Woodstock photos. 

Now as the bohemian look is thriving in the fashion world, feathers have also made a strong reappearance. As spring came around, so did the trend of feather hair extensions. Soon enough a great number of the fashion-concerned world had had some sort of feather extensions to show their take on the boho look. Celebrities such as Ke$ha, Hilary Duff, and Selena Gomez started showing off this trend.

In addition to feather extensions, another big trend which is directly based off the original bohemian days is feather earrings. These earrings can be big, small, and almost every type and colour. They're less permanent than extensions so it's easier to switch up with different outfits. 

I personally love feathers and the bohemian trend overall. I've been kind of contemplating getting feather extensions, but right now I wear feather earrings or some sort of feather accessory everyday. Feathers are something that can instantly add a bohemian flare to an outfit. Whatever way you choose to incorporate feathers into your personal summer style, they are a great way to add the trend to your wardrobe!!
