Christmas Music Playlist

Listening to Christmas music is a great way to get into the holiday spirit, but sometimes the stuffy Christmas classics can get old. Here is my off-beat Christmas playlist to make it through the holidays without having to listen to only the classics!

2) God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Bright Eyes

3) In This Home on Ice - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

4) Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - She & Him

7) Listen the Snow is Falling - Galaxie 500

8) Plant a Little Fir Tree - Half-Handed Cloud

9) Sleigh Ride - The Late Greats

10) The First Song - Band of Horses

Celebrate the Season ❅

Happy December!

The beginning of the holiday season begins the endless holiday parties. Parties can be casual get togethers or completely formal occasions. It can sometimes be a struggle to choose an appropriate outfit, but it is always fun.

Here are my top three tips for dressing for a holiday party:

1) Invest In A Great Christmas Dress
A Christmas dress is the best investment you can make for the holiday season. Whether you choose a Christmas inspired dress or just a plain LBD, the options are endless. A Christmas dress can be dressed up or down, making it appropriate for any type of party.

2) Get Creative with Hair and Makeup
There is no better time to play with beauty than during the holiday season. Red lips and dramatic eyes become quite typical at parties, and it changes everyday makeup standards. Fun possibilities include Christmas nail art, a gold smokey eye, wine coloured lips, or highlighted cheeks. Christmas is a great time to experiment with beauty, so let your creativity show for your holiday parties!

3) Don't Wear Impossible Shoes
Holiday parties are usually a time to catch up and mingle. There is a lot of walking around from person to person and standing around in general. If you wear shoes you don't feel comfortable in, it may take the fun out of the party. Wear your favourite, bearable pair of heels instead of the brand new ones, it will save you a lot of pain and make your evening a lot more fun!
